Vikingsholm Historic Site Lake Tahoe

April 23, 2009 by TrailsTV

Vikingsholm is located at the head of Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe, California. This magnificent “castle” is a unique blend of Nature’s spectacular beauty and man’s architectural ingenuity. Vikingsholm, situated majestically among towering pines and cedars, was built as a summer home by Mrs. Lora Josephine Knight in 1929. The Vikingsholm Historic Site is located on the shores of Emerald bay on the south south west “corner” or Lake Tahoe. Built in the late 1800′s you will be amazed by what you see inside and out. My friend Jacquie, with GeoTahoe.org, shot the video that I edited for her last summer. Enjoy the short hike with the family!
