Skiing and Boarding at Alpine Meadows

September 17, 2008 by TrailsTV

Alpine Meadows has been a favorite for Lake Tahoe locals for many years, and there’s a great reason why. The people… The employees at Alpine make every person at Alpine feel like they’re at home, a beautiful white home filled with snowboard parks, fresh powder and, wait I lost my train of thought. I love Alpine, I buy a pass every year. The runs rock, the powder rocks, the park is awesome! See what I mean?

Alpine is a great mountain. Liz and I had a pass there one year. The keyhole chutes and stuff near there is great. The only problem is the the runs are not very long. Steep but short. I like the lack of crowds. Let the crowds go to “squawlyworld.” I still don’t think anything in the basin can match the chutes at mt. rose when it comes to sustained, steep, narrow chutes. I guess I should keep all that to myself thought.
