Amasa Back Moab

August 5, 2008 by TrailsTV

This is the best short ride in the Moab Area. If you are arriving in Moab late in the afternoon and want to get in a quick ride, drive to the trailhead and do this one. This out-and-back trail offers some technical ledge climbs and lots of slickrock near the apex. The views of Jackson Hole (a large butte) and the Colorado River are amazing. A sandy spur at 2.4 miles from the trailhead (8.3 miles from Moab) also goes out to a must-see view.
