After Hiking, Before Boarding
December 20, 2008 by TrailsTV
Hello again,
I just realized that Tahoe, and the Tahoe region, is getting pounded by snow. Yes Rus, Utah is getting hit harder, but I can’t help but think of the months since the first snow. October to be exact, Juliet and I were in Hawaii video taping Diamond Head, Kailua Bay, Aiea, North Shore and Manoa Falls…
What happens in the cusp months? I personally get my hiking, biking, camping and boating gear stowed. But, I also look forward to the upcoming snow season. Snowshoeing, boarding, skiing, can’t be better in to many other places than Lake Tahoe… Yes Rus, Solitude, I GET IT!
But I digress, With the advent of the first REAL hard storms of the season, Lake Tahoe is changing to that winter wonderland we were priced out of so many years ago. Alpine Meadows has great snow this time of year. Kirkwood has gotten over 6 feet this week. Squaw Valley has a bit of snow as well, I won’t link to them because I had a rotten experience the last time I went there. GO TO ALPINE, 1000 TIMES BETTER AND CLOSER TO TAHOE CITY!
The winter season is upon us and requires us to look back at some of the best rides, hikes and jaunts done this past year…
Peace, Love and Silly Putty,
Ted
